Under the Wildlife TRAPS project, TRAFFIC has been preparing a ‘Situation Analysis’ to explore what is happening currently in relation to wildlife consumer engagement in zoonotic risk, and to identify options for three potential social and behaviour change (SBC) pilot projects.
The pilots will aim to generate new learning and opportunities around the best intervention points, message frames and initiative approaches when persuading those in end markets for wild animal derived meat, medicine and pets, to seek a safe, traceable and sustainable supply. Initial findings from the Situation Analysis will be shared with all SBC Community members at a Changing Demands Webinar on the 5th August at 12.30 PM BST.
